The congregation of Faith supports missionaries Douglas and Dorcas Williams in Ecuador.
Doug and Dorcas have three children: Andy (19), Becky (17), and Sarah (15). They are
missionaries of the Liebenzell, USA organization located in Schooley's Mountain, New
Jersey.
The Williams family began mission work in 1989 and since 1995 have been located in Lita,
Ecuador. They are pioneer missionaries among the Awa Indians, teaching their language
and culture, preparation of Bible teaching materials, Bible teaching, community
development, discipleship courses, evangelism, and help at the Awa-Center in Lita.
Dorcas teaches their three children. Along with Bruce family missionaries they are building
an outpost in the Awa area, in Rio Verde, and plan to move there soon. The distance
between Lita and the nearest post office is sixty miles. The distance from Lita to Rio Verde
is only ten miles.
The Williams family live in a hut, with no running water, no electricity and virtually none of
the comforts that we take for granted.
Faith has found true missionaries, in the trenches, serving God passionately and sharing
Christ personally.
